COLE WOOLEY, Ph.D. graduated with a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah in 1989. He completed graduate research with Prof. Milton Lee on high resolution chromatopgraphic seperations of complex organic mixtures. Dr. Wooley conducted research in developing products for gas chromatopgraphy, liquid chromatopgraphy, sample preparation and capillary electrophoresis as a senior research chemist at Superlco, a manufacturer of chemical separation products located in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania. He was one of the pioneers in developing capillary electrophoresis columms and authored one of the first patents in the field.

Dr. Wooley has given numerous presentations at scientific symposia dealing with chemicals, petroleum, pharmaceutical, flavor, fragrance, food, environmental, nutrition and chemical analysis. Much of this work dealt with environmental carcinogens, in particular, TCDDs, PCBs, VOCs, SVOCs, chlorinated pesticides and herbicides. He has published over 20 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals dealing with chemical separations, chiral analysis, analytical instrumentation and environmental carcinogens.

Currently, Dr. Wooley is acting as Corporate Scientist at Neways International, a manufacturer of dietary supplements and cosmetics located in Salem, Utah. He has pursued his interest in chemical carcinogens at Neways, who has made a commitment to eliminate harmful and potentially carcinogenic ingredients from personal-care products.
